Our Mission
Inspired by the 2016 Bernie Sanders presidential campaign, local progressive organizers formed the DuPage Progressive Alliance and the Progressives of Kane County in their respective counties with the mission of advancing progressive causes and getting like minded candidates elected. These organizations merged in 2025 with the goal of working together and expanding to include other Illinois progressives.

Gary worked as a software engineer for nearly 24 years while also active in local politics. He served as the Chair of the York Township Democratic Organization for six years, and was recently elected Clerk of York Township.
